ROLE SUMMARY: The Green Waste Lead is responsible for the oversight of 5 to 10 employees. The lead will ensure company policies are followed, equipment is well maintained and all employees under are properly trained and perform assigned job functions per company standards.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all employees are aware and adhere to the company’s Uniform and Attendance policies
- Ensure all employees receive proper training for the task at hand and the tasks are being completed accordingly to the SOP’s
- Answers and responds to all questions employees have regarding job functions
- Ensure work areas are kept clean on daily basis
- Complete daily ratio sheet and make sure all delivery manifests are uploaded to SharePoint.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and make sure all equipment is up to compliance.
- Make sure tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as needed
- Reports to management on regular basis with updates, problems, or comments
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience with heavy equipment including front end loader, forklifts, tractors etc
- Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, changing, and challenging environment.
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
- Must have valid State Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
