Job Title:Senior Manufacturing Manager 

Department:Production 

Reports To:Executive Director, Production

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Manufacturing Manager directs, manages, and optimizes the overall operations of the cultivation and production facility in Adel, GA. This position establishes systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity, and sets performance targets that will meet revenue and cost goals. This position leads the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Senior Manufacturing Manager ensures robust building safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in compliance with all required regulations. This position directs support functions to ensure alignment with overall plant operations. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily operations of the business unit 
  • Accomplishes objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections 
  • Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, cultivation, and technical services policies and practices; and coordinating actions with corporate staff 
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports 
  • Provide direct management of key functional managers and executives in the business unit 
  • Ensure the overall delivery and quality of the cannabis products for Trulieve consumers 
  • Maintain budgets and optimize expenses 
  • Oversee key hiring and talent development programs 
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards 
  • Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent 
  • Communicate strategy and results to the unit's employees 
  • Report key results to corporate officers 
  • Engage with corporate officers in broader organizational strategic planning 
  • Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally 
  • Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance 
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations 
  • Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors) 
  • Review and enforce all Trulieve policies and standard operating procedures 
  • Provide reports on a regular basis (at least quarterly) and as directed or requested 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; and participating in professional societies
  • Proactive in understanding and educating changing regulations, laws, and best practices, as they apply to the business and industry 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business administration, law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred 
  • 5+ years’ experience working in manufacturing, agriculture, and/or food service industry 
  • 5+ years’ proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role 
  • Experience in planning and budgeting 
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.) 
  • Strong analytical ability 
  • Superior project management skills 
  • Outstanding leadership skills 
  • Problem-solving aptitude 
  • Integrity and professional ethics 
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills 
  • High level of engagement with stakeholders and third parties 
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail 
  • Self-starter with a history of pushing for deadline-driven results 
  • Process improvement and documentation; attention to detail; time-management, prioritization and organizational skills 
  • Observant, analytical, inquisitive and attentive 
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with a variety of personalities at various seniority levels 
  • Must possess the ability to train, develop and evaluate a team 
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age 
  • Must possess a valid driving license and a clear driving record 
  • Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background screening 

 

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 55+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on business needs
  • Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Some travel required
