Job Title: Beverage Sampling Manager
Business Unit: Transformation
Location: Florida (Tampa or Orlando)
Reports To: Chief Sales Officer
Role Summary
The Beverage Sampling Manager will lead our in-store sampling programs to drive trial, awareness, and conversion for our hemp beverage brands. This role oversees all aspects of the sampling strategy — from event planning and ambassador management to execution, compliance, and performance reporting. You will be responsible for building a best-in-class sampling operation that creates memorable consumer experiences, strengthens retail relationships, and supports sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic beverage sampling calendar across retail locations, festivals, and special events.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of brand ambassadors to deliver exceptional sampling experiences aligned with cannabis beverage regulations and brand standards.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align sampling activations with product launches, promotional campaigns, and retail objectives.
- Manage permitting, scheduling, logistics, and compliance for all sampling events, including hemp state regulations.
- Oversee event setup, staff scheduling, and inventory management to ensure seamless execution.
- Track KPIs and consumer feedback from each activation, analyze results, and optimize future strategies for maximum ROI.
- Manage sampling program budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
- Serve as a brand culture champion, ensuring consistent messaging and compliant consumer engagement across all markets.
- Maintain strong relationships with dispensary partners and event organizers to secure prime sampling opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in field marketing, brand activation, or event management within the beverage or cannabis industry.
- Proven experience managing sampling teams or brand ambassadors.
- Deep understanding of retail, dispensary, and cannabis compliance environments.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to Travel as needed to support business and team goals and ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed for events.
- Proficiency with reporting tools, CRM platforms, or event tracking systems (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce, Excel).
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Frequently required to move/traverse throughout entire facility, including tight spaces.
- Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices.
- Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 40lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 40 lbs.; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl).
- Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position.
- Occasionally required to remain in a seated position.

WORK SCHEDULE
45+ hours weekly with flexible hours and travel as needed. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel up to 75% of work schedule to support the needs of the business.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
