Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A Business Unit: Accounting - Finance


Position Summary:

This role will be a key asset in the future growth of the company. The Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A role will be an integral role whose main responsibilities will be spear-heading the Company’s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. This position will spearhead the Company’s Cost Change, Margin Calculator processes and special projects. Through FP&A and modeling, this professional will work directly with Operations, Sales, and Accounting to provide financial and strategic support to senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. The position reports to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Product Mix and discount trends that drive margins
  • Update Internal Costing and Margin Calculators for multi-state operations
  • Understanding of Fixed and Variable Costs; analyzing cost swings by activity and expense type
  • Establish Costing for new Skus and Product lines as requested by the business
  • Work Cross Functionally with the Data Analytics and Accounting teams on updates to the cost change process.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis across broad aspects of the business
  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies in cost change process
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Assist with compilation and analysis of consolidated budgets and long-range plans
  • Maintains and coordinates group completion of financial review templates and meetings.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred
  • 5+ years of financial planning and analysis experience
  • Strong leadership skills required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated



  • Typically requires five years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to make decisions and solve problems that are general in nature and for which there are precedents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working within numerous systems
  • Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines
  • Candidate must be at least 21 years of age and able to successfully complete a Level 2 background screening

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
