Job Title: Sr. Human Resources Business Partner

Position Summary:
The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner will be an integral part of the Trulieve Human Resources department, reporting to the (Human Resources Manager/Executive Director of Human Resources). This role will serve as a strategic and operational human resources leader supporting multiple sites. The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for driving human resources programs, employee relations, onboarding execution, human resources compliance and workforce initiatives that align with the organizational goals. They will partner closely with site leadership to ensure consistent application of company policy, enhance employee engagement, and foster a positive and compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide new hire orientation and onboarding support for operational leaders, including presenting company onboarding materials and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience (Where Applicable).
- Validate new hire eligibility as well as transfer/promotion/demotion internal eligibility.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues across their designated site locations.
- Conduct intake, assessment, and resolution of employee relations matters, including policy violations and behavioral concerns.
- Provide guidance to managers on handling employee issues, difficult conversations, and performance-related feedback.
- Support ADA accommodation requests in alignment with company policy and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate records of cases and documentation within systems such as NAVEX and HRIS platforms.
- Support site level HR initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts within human resources and production environments.
- Support the company performance process, including guiding managers on goal setting and HRIS entry.
- Lead, facilitate and support annual listening sessions (where applicable), engagement surveys and action planning based on employee feedback.
- Foster a positive employee experience through proactive engagement, visibility on the floor and relationship building.
- Support multiple site locations, including regular travel and on-site employee engagement.
- Manage employee follow-ups, staffing coordination, and monthly reporting responsibilities.
- Manage labor relations activities at unionized locations in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), including but not limited to; Grievance process facilitation, union communications, arbitration coordination and communication, responding to union information requests, facilitating and supporting training programs such as MUD assessments, TIPPS and FOE, and supporting union and non-union campaign activities in compliance with company policies and legal guidelines. (Where Applicable)
- Respond to unemployment claims and maintain appropriate documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, including business partner or employee relations roles.
- Experience supporting multi-site operations, preferably in production, manufacturing, retail or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and case management tools (e.g., NAVEX or similar).
- Experience in union environments and labor relations is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to influence leadership, manage complex employee relations issues, and drive HR initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills or other relevant skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility of hours – some nights and weekends required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Ability to travel regularly between multiple site locations, including same-day and overnight travel as needed.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods while engaging with employees on the production floor.
- Ability to navigate production environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and operational equipment.
- Frequent movement between office and operational areas, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and HRIS systems for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry light materials (up to 15–20 pounds), such as laptops, files, and training materials.
