IT Business Analyst (Enterprise Applications)

Department: IT

Location: Remote

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Digital Products

 

ROLE SUMMARY:

Tremendous opportunity to help shape a very strong technical team in a company on an explosive growth path. As an IT Business Analyst, you will work with key technical and business users to understand/design business processes, document system requirements, test solutions, and communicate changes.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and document business processes (B2B and B2C) 
  • Create process flows and swimlane diagrams 
  • Create use cases and requirements documents 
  • Identify root cause of issues and propose system fixes  
  • Provide direction to development teams on design and requirements refinements 
  • Track status of changes and communicate with user community 
  • Perform functional testing on developed solutions 
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing  
  • Provide production support when level 2/3 needs to be escalated 
  • Work with external vendors on development and support 
  • Act as bridge between user community and software development team 
  • Identify enhancements that will reduce production support 
  • Communicate new functionality being released for digital assets 
  • Create training guides/work instructions on best practices for using system functions 
  • Support deployments off-hours via testing and communications with user community 
  • Provide production support off-hours, including nights and weekends, when required 
  • Some travel required for site visits and to learn processes, less than 5% 

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Software development education/experience desired
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills across business and technical audiences
  • 3+ years’ experience administering and configuring Dutchie POS and Dutchie Ecommerce platforms
  • 3+ years’ experience administering and configuring Magento 2.x eCommerce Platform a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience administering and configuring a Retail Seed-to-Sale system a plus (Metrc or MJ Freeway)
  • 2+ years’ experience with technical analysis of websites and mobile applications
  • Experience implementing or documenting system integrations using APIs
  • Experience in the legal cannabis retail industry a plus
  • Experience in the CPG industry 
  • Experience with DevOps 
  • Good knowledge of Agile development processes and ability to write effective user stories 
  • Experience with ERPs, ideally SAP.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to pass a level 2 background check

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
