Job Title: Post Harvest Technician III
Department: Cultivation
Reports to: Cultivation Leadership
FLSA Status: Regular- Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
As Post Harvest Technician III, you will play a critical role in harvesting, weighing, drying, curing, trimming, and machine operation processing cannabis material. This position is ideal for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hands-on environment and want to contribute to a mission-driven company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Able to perform all Post Harvest Technician I and II job duties
- Participates in harvesting, intaking, drying, curing, trimming, machine operation, and transfer of cannabis material
- Become proficient in the setup, adjustment, and operations of all equipment in the facilities
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems detected
- Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order
- Responsible for running, maintaining, and cleaning of the machinery
- Attention to detail to ensure the machine is properly cared for and the environment is held to food safety standards
- Defoliation of the plants as needed
- Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system
- Documenting testing results through reports and logs
- Inputting data into the company database
- Continual quality control assessment as product moves through the process
- Maintaining and operating all equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Weighing and disposing of all plant waste material
- Ensure that material and/or products are processed and prepared by following SOP and/or cGMP standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure all material and/or product is accounted for according to company policy and procedures
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and bag any excess plant material leaving the work areas clean
- Clean, sanitize, and store all equipment upon use
- Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations
- Perform various manual cross department job duties as needed
- Ensure an overall positive, safe and clean environment
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be proficient and achieve goals in all Post Harvest Technician I and II skill assessments
- Must be active in the Post Harvest Technician II role for minimum of 6 months to qualify for Post Harvest Technician III role
- Knowledge and understanding of cannabis handling including harvesting, drying, curing, and trimming
- Maintain good discipline and attendance standards
- Ability to work hands on with cannabis plant material daily
- Ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed/requested by the direct supervisor
- Ability to work as a team unit while completing tasks and creating constructive collaboration with members of other departments
- Create a proactive environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Self-motivated, innovative, and a team player
- Excellent time management skills, driving efficiency and productivity to ensure goals are consistently met while maintaining high quality finished product
- Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations
- Comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and Word
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one
- Must pass a level 2 background screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).

WORK SCHEDULE
40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
