ROLE SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Manager - responsible for managing the quality department with responsibility for quality initiatives and responsibilities in cultivation, oil processing, edible manufacturing as well as total product / package quality, cost management, safety, compliance, cGMPs, and executing all QA protocols to ensure Trulieve facility quality service objectives are met. Main duties include overseeing the quality assurance functions and process controls, supervising personnel to complete QA tasks as specified; full compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, and administrative policies; monitoring of records, personnel development, process improvements and departmental cost performance; attending corporate departmental and local management meetings, generating reports for the facility General Manager and Corporate QA Leadership regarding facility and QA team performance, ongoing continuous improvement projects, and as requested by management. Position involves work in cultivation and manufacturing areas overseeing the QA team and partnering with other departments on quality issues.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor procedures, standards and specifications to meet the company quality goals and ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards.

• Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.

• Manage the Quality responsibilities in Cultivation and Manufacturing to ensure compliance with necessary cGAP and cGMP standards.

• Ensure edible product manufacturing meets cGMP food safety standards and those mandated by state government regulations.

• Oversee all third party and second party audits and resolve corrective actions, maintain internal documentation.

• Create, implement and maintain HACCP Food Safety Plans. Take a leadership role on facility HACCP team.

• Supervises accurate and timely reporting of work documentations and records to ensure integrity and retention requirements.

• Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.

• Direct workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.

• Build quality programs for emerging programs.

• Write, update, and maintain quality SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).

• Ownership of quality KPIs and development of action plans for improvement.

• Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to product quality and reliability.

• Investigate and track customer complaints regarding quality.

• Initiate effective and efficient actions to identify non-conformance root cause and resolve process and people variances.

• Recommend staffing levels based on quality requirements. Using good and prudent judgment for the hiring and promoting of personnel to meet departmental and operational needs.

• Reviews, evaluates, counsels, disciplines and discharges employees as necessary to ensure successful performance by the department.

• Champion internal audit process.

• Support continuous improvement through teamwork, shared best practices and personnel and self -development.

• Work with the Lab Manager assuring timely and accurate reporting of lab data.

• Must stay current with regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the industry such as CCC, FDA, State Department of Health, USDA, and OSHA regulations through research and regulatory publications and web sites.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
