Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Department: Quality Assurance

Reports to: QA Manager

Location: McKeesport, PA

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality of our company’s products and assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of our company’s internal Quality System. This individual will serve as a primary Quality Assurance resource for department supervisors for problem identification, and resolution. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Drive a culture of Quality and Compliance
  • Assist in the development of statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product
  • Review test results and confirm compliance with specifications
  • Ensure goods and products comply with company standards, GMP, and any other regulatory agencies
  • Assist team members in Investigations, Root Cause Analysis procedures and implementation of effective CAPAs
  • Analyzing regulatory requirements to assess their effect on the internal Quality System
  • Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Perform audits at various points in the manufacturing process
  • Develop/maintain/improve inspection data reports
  • Write, update, and maintain quality SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Investigate and track customer complaints regarding quality
  • Communicate quality and/or compliance concerns with urgency
  • Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
  • Facilitate change management
  • Monitor and facilitate third party compliance testing
  • Assist with product recalls and returns as needed
  • Performing other duties as requested

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Pharmaceutical or food manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP requirements and HACCP preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, database management and manufacturing management systems
  • Familiarity with Quality System Practices, such as Document Control, Auditing, Investigations, and CAPAs
  • Possess solid root cause analysis and problem-solving capability
  • Independent self-starter with decision-making ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to share information effectively with all levels
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize activities under tight deadlines
  • Understanding of test equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work at multiple locations

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive background screening

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position.
