Job Title: Product Specialist

Business Unit: Research & Development

Location: Midway, FL - Building 1

 

Role Summary

The Product Specialist will oversee all documentation, communication, and BOM management for each product SKU under the Trulieve umbrella. This role is responsible for ensuring each product has the appropriate documentation before compliance submissions & updating the documents as needed. The Product Specialist will be responsible for document control and maintaining the document repository & archive.

 

Responsibilities

Product Documentation

  • Use provided templates to generate Product Specification Sheet for each SKU.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure all information is correct on the Product Specification Sheet.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, purchasing, and data teams to gather all information needed to generate a preliminary BOM.
  • Validate all components for each SKU and gather supporting documents from specified vendors.

Communication and Coordination

  • Serve as the point of contact for all in market product related questions.
  • Ensure timely communication with all teams involved in new product specifications.
  • Coordinate with state leaders to ensure the product specifications are being met.
  • Conduct regular product specification audits to ensure all documents are accurate.
  • Develop a process flow to streamline material generation within the ERP.
  • Product Understanding & Training:
  • Develop a full knowledge of the product and process flow for each product under the Trulieve umbrella.
  • Have the understanding to explain each product to leaders in other business units.
  • Understand each markets compliance requirements and apply this to daily responsibilities.

Administrative duties:

  • Monitor product development and ensure all steps are documented.
  • Track progress within internal projects related to new product development.
  • Ensure the lab is compliant with all regulations from DOH.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Project Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management, product management, or quality management.
  • Proven technical development or document control experience.
  • Strong understanding of mathematics, project management, product management, and process systems.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Change Management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This role is on-site at the Midway, Fl processing facility.
  • On-call availability may be required for urgent product related issues.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
