Wholesale Account Manager -Pennsylvania

Department: Wholesale

Reports to: Senior Sales Manager

Location: Candidate living in Philadelphia or surrounding area required

up to 75% travel throughout the state

 

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new and managing existing wholesale account customers within their respective territory. Supports the company’s goals utilizing professional sales techniques and unmatched customer service to promote quality relations with new and existing customers. Shares what is needed to deliver planned results and delivers against established business targets.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Calling on cannabis wholesale customers, retail dispensaries, to give successful presentations for decision making buyers that result in the sales of cannabis products
  • Grow sales by working directly with wholesale customers to identify needs and provide full scope business solutions
  • Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis to achieve sales goals
  • Increase product placements and open new accounts
  • Improving the marketability of products through shelf management, display position and price point management
  • Planning and executing a daily schedule of sales calls via a pre-determined account list
  • Conduct reviews of sales activities and effectiveness to identify and solve performances gaps ensuring delivery of sales goals
  • Collaborate as key partner with marketing, operations, and other business lines to drive strategy and ensure compliance by wholesale retail partners
  • Excellent Brand Ambassador
  • Maintain awareness of company’s competitive position, market/ industry trends and changing business environment
  • Utilize reporting tools to communicate progress against established sales goals
  • Represent/ participate in trade, community, and in-store events
  • Follow through on issues deemed important to management and customers

  • Existing knowledge of the cannabis industry and a desire to expand cannabis education
  • Effective communication -personal and written (via in person, phone, video conference) and presentation skills

  • Ability to develop and utilize selling materials effectively
  • Mindset of personal/ professional development and continuous learning around industry standards, products, and trends
  • Ability to develop and utilize fact/ insight based selling materials
  • Constantly gather and synthesize customer/ consumer feedback within the market and develop recommendations and plans to meet customer/ consumer needs
  • Required to operate in a collaborative team spirit
  • Must have excellent analytical ability, including problem solving and conceptual thinking
  • Solid financial acumen. Ability to comprehend basic financial reports and Profit & Loss Statements
  • Flexible. The ability to embrace, adapt and thrive with change
  • Computer literate and tech savvy. CRM experience a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree, four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years of territory sales management experience, cannabis industry experience preferred by not required

 

ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
  • Must be able to to pass a comprehensive background screening
  • Must be at least 21 years of age (or at least 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV)
  • Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the job duties

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday. Must be able to see, hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure this position's requirements can be fully met. Due to the nature of our business, it is advocated that when representing Trulieve that our professionalism meets the needs of the medical patient base that we respectively serve. To uniformly align with the organization, an individual must be able to provide a level of communication that aligns respectively with the diversification of our patients which may exhibit opportunities to assess the situation and apply meaningful service. In addition, must be able to quickly identify and insert additional support where needed to deescalate situations without compromising Trulieve’s objective in serving our patient base with excellent customer service.

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • 45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
