Job Title: Inventory Supervisor - Processing
Department: Processing
Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Role Summary
Responsible for overseeing the Cycle Counters, Inventory Specialist and Material Handlers. The Inventory Supervisor is to assist in inventory and quality control as well as releasing raw materials to meet productions demand. Responsibility is also to review and manage raw material inventory transactions to support inventory accuracy goals.
This position is critical to keeping the company inventory accurate across departments and ensuring the production team has proper materials and documents to create products according to the planned schedule.
Production Control
- Assists and oversees raw material process. Utilizing SAP, monitor in-process work orders for completion.
- Engages with operations supervisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of raw material transactions.
- Notifies materials manager as needed through coordination with department manager on material concerns.
- Interfaces with manufacturing supervisors, master planner, and procurement on material status and production planning issues.
Inventory Control
- Works in concert with the department manager to plan and facilitate regular cycle counts and Cherry Bekaert counts.
- Works in concert with the Supply Chain and materials manager to reconcile weekly inventory cycle count variances to root cause and lead the process to reduce errors. Update SAP with cycle count results and provide summary reporting as required.
- Works with Safety department to spearhead safety initiatives and report incidents and near misses within department.
- Monitor Movements in SAP to confirm and find opportunities from transfers.
- Mandatory end of month inventory.
- Must be able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Familiarity with SAP system required.
- Understanding of Good Inventory Management practices.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. Experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Material Planning and/or Production Scheduling is preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry with an understanding of scheduling and inventory concepts.
- Good communication skills required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite of products (Excel, Word, etc).
Additional Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA, and WV).
- Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
- Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
- Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater).
- Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions.
- Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise).
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
