Job Title: Retail Field Trainer
Department: Retail Operations
Reports To: Retail Training Manager
FLSA Status: Regular Exempt
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Retail Field Trainer is responsible for supporting the continued learning for Trulieve employees to improve overall national operations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine training needs by observing operational opportunities, studying sales results, consulting with General Manager and Area Managers during store visits.
- Assist with creating product education for Trulieve products and 3rd party brands.
- Train employees on how to promote Trulieve products and 3rd party brands effectively
- Partners with the Retail Training Supervisor to analyze operational and developmental opportunities.
- Assist with creating strategic, regional solutions that support the field leadership teams.
- Conduct on-site training sessions using various training methods to engage employees, including hands-on and interactive activities.
- Work with the training team leadership to respond to training requests sourced from retail leadership, retail operations, and through observation in the field after collaboration with leadership.
- Assist with the implementation of training programs that will prepare employees for the next step of their career paths.
- Other miscellaneous assigned projects and responsibilities as directed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a strong knowledge of operations, sales processes, and company policies.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Must be able to deliver training modules using a variety of training techniques and experience working with computer-based training software and learning management system is a plus.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and instructor led training modules.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Must be organized and able to work through multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
- Ability to direct and execute the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
- Solid ability with the use of English language. Spanish as an additional language is a plus.
- Additional certification in training is a plus
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a MVR background check
- Must be able to pass a level 1 and level 2 background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
- Must be able to relate to and work with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress, or displaying a hostile attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
- Consistently required to move/traverse throughout facilities, including tight spaces
- Accurately communicate and exchange sensitive information and ideas with others, including members of the public; observe/inspect details at varying ranges; operate computing devices:
- Frequently required to manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights (e.g., products, packaging, tools, office machinery): push/pull objects up to 50lbs; lift/carry/position objects up to 50 lbs.; ascend/descend stool/ladder/steps; position self and/or objects at floor level (e.g., crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl)
- Occasionally required to remain in a seated position
- Must have visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position
WORK SCHEDULE:
45+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on business needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Travel 75-90% of work schedule.
