This role partners closely with Retail Technology leadership to translate business needs into structured requirements, support complex issue analysis, and document system behavior across platforms. The analyst contributes to the successful execution of large-scale initiatives by ensuring clarity, traceability, and alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
The position is best suited for someone who thrives in highly cross-functional environments and is comfortable working across both technical and operational domains, with a strong emphasis on documentation, requirements development, and analytical support.

- Support root cause analysis on complex issues, clearly distinguishing between system and process drivers
- Analyze system-specific functionality and integrations across platforms, including exposure to technologies such as ABAP, CPI, and FE, to better understand dependencies, data movement, and downstream business impact
Requirements Development (BRDs / Functional Documentation):
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and supporting functional documentation
- Define current-state and future-state workflows across retail technology systems
- Document system interactions, dependencies, and data flows across platforms
- Ensure requirements are clear, traceable, and aligned with business goals and technical capabilities

- Create structured artifacts including:
- Process flows and system diagrams
- Functional specifications
- Issue summaries and resolution documentation
- Build and maintain internal knowledge resources to support scalable operations and consistency
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly documentation
Escalation Analysis Support:
- Support investigation of escalated issues requiring deeper system analysis
- Assist in identifying root causes and documenting findings for cross-functional teams
- Provide structured insights to support resolution efforts led by senior team members
- Ensure issues and outcomes are documented for future prevention and reference
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Retail Operations, IT Support, Application Support, Finance, Compliance, and external vendors

- Participate in working sessions, project discussions, and initiatives to capture requirements and outcomes
Enhancement & Release Support:
- Support the documentation and validation of system enhancements, fixes, and releases
- Assist in defining test scenarios based on business requirements and real-world use cases
- Contribute to go-live readiness through documentation, validation, and post-release tracking
ADO Workflow, Ticket Quality & UAT Support:
- Support the end-to-end ADO workflow by helping intake, organize, and track work items across the development lifecycle
- Ensure tickets are written clearly and completely, with well-defined business context, requirements, acceptance criteria, and traceability to the underlying need
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to validate that ticket content is accurate, actionable, and aligned to delivery priorities
- Assist in coordinating and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenario creation, execution support, defect documentation, and validation of outcomes prior to release
- Help reinforce disciplined development flow by ensuring requirements, testing, and documented approvals are aligned before work is promoted to production
Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or retail technology environments
- Strong experience writing structured documentation (BRDs, functional specs, process flows)
