Marketing Intern

Department: Marketing, Southeast

Location: Florida remote, or Tallahassee, FL Hybrid

Timeframe: Approximately 2 months

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Position Overview:

As a Marketing intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in the dynamic and rapidly growing cannabis industry. You will work closely with our Marketing team, providing support and contributing to various Marketing initiatives within our organization. This internship will offer you valuable exposure to the intersection of marketing and the cannabis sector, allowing you to develop essential skills and knowledge in a unique and evolving industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in researching and documenting competitor products, pricing and promotions.
• Assist in updating and maintaining daily marketing and communication documents.
• Support in project management of activation and event tasks.
• Assist with ad hoc requests to support the greater SE Marketing team.

Marketing Internship Qualification:

• Applied understanding of basic marketing principles
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to pass a level 2 background check
• Must be 21+ years of age

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field
• Successful completion of introductory courses in marketing, business or equivalent
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
