Job Title: Senior Manager, Ecommerce Technology (Adobe Commerce & AEM / Experience Cloud Architect)

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Ecommerce Technology – Adobe Experience Cloud provides senior-level technical leadership and stewardship for the enterprise ecommerce technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on Adobe Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This role shapes technical direction, enforces engineering and architecture standards, and ensures the long-term scalability, reliability, and integrity of customer-facing digital commerce platforms built on Adobe Experience Cloud. The role is responsible for guiding the design and delivery of large-scale ecommerce solutions using Adobe Experience Cloud, including Content Management, Commerce, Customer Data Platform, Campaign Management, and Analytics. The Senior Manager quickly grasps business initiatives, understands underlying business processes, and determines technical solution options that meet stated objectives while supporting long-term platform sustainability.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide senior technical leadership and direction for ecommerce platforms built on Adobe Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager.

Architect and guide large-scale technology solutions using Adobe Experience Cloud, including Content Management, Commerce, Customer Data Platform, Campaign Management, and Analytics.

Translate business initiatives and objectives into viable technical solution options by understanding business processes and constraints.

Ensure long-term health, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability of Adobe-based ecommerce platforms.

Apply and reinforce enterprise architectural standards, integration patterns, and engineering best practices.

Guide platform modernization efforts using headless, composable, and API-driven Adobe architectures.

Champion operational excellence by improving availability, performance, resilience, and observability.

Mentor engineering leaders and senior engineers, raising technical maturity and Adobe platform expertise.

Guide technical prioritization and trade-offs related to scalability, performance, risk, and technical debt.

Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Architecture, Engineering, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:

Subject Matter Expert in Adobe Experience Cloud products, including Adobe Commerce and Adobe Experience Manager.

10+ years of related overall technology experience.

Expertise delivering large-scale, enterprise digital and ecommerce solutions.

Thorough understanding of digital platforms and experience delivering sound technical solutions in this space.

Certified in at least one Adobe product; Adobe Experience Manager and/or Adobe Commerce certification strongly preferred.

Ability to quickly understand business initiatives and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Possesses a calm demeanor and sound judgment when resolving technical disputes or high-pressure situations.

Highly self-directed, able to multitask with incomplete or conflicting information, and prioritize multiple initiatives in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
