Job Title:  Sr. Supply Chain Manager

Department:  Supply Chain Operations

Reports to:  Director of Supply Chain


POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Sr. Supply Chain Manager to help manage our planning team nationwide. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the team creating and maintaining the material, production, cultivation, demand, and allocation plans. This role will need to be in frequent contact with nearly all company departments, including but not limited to operations, finance, retail, marketing, IT, and sales. The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will also manage the teams in charge of organizing the launch of new products, rationalization of existing products, and the Business Intelligence team gathering and reporting on market data and trends on competitor analysis. This role will be involved with high level discussions and involved with action plans and day to day decisions that drive the company. The ideal candidate would be able to excel in both arenas and provide insight and guidance across a wide spectrum of topics.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Optimize inventory to ensure the balance of inventory turns, product availability and total cost for multiple product families.
  • Balance the company manufacturing network to align demand, capability and capacity with transportation costs.
  • Ensure inventory is manufactured and distributed in support of the Demand Plan.
  • Coordinate production from Company plants and/or procurement of finished goods from contract manufacturers or suppliers into the Company network.
  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Engineering to launch new products/new business from a planning perspective. Determine which locations will support new business.
  • Design, communicate and monitor all prebuild inventory programs in support of seasonal and/or Customer programs.
  • Facilitate the Service Performance and MDI (Managing for Daily Improvement) meetings to monitor leading indicator metrics, identify abnormal conditions across the supply chain and initiate appropriate problem-solving techniques.
  • Manage all aspects of the master production schedule to assure appropriate inventory levels and integrity are maintained for stock items and that made-to order products are produced in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Lead team of national planning managers on building actionable and optimized plans for the business
    • Materials – raw materials, packaging materials,
    • Production – WIP and FG plans, forecasts, capacity
    • Demand – constrained and unconstrained demand in every market
    • Allocation – optimized distribution of saleable units to stores
    • Cultivation – sq ft assigned to strains by brand/price/biomass needed for production
  • Lead, organize and champion new product introduction and existing SKU rationalization in all markets.
  • Lead correlated HUBs and Sites markets to better achieve productivity and availability of our products.
  • Direct and vision new long term planning including and not limited to new assets, markets and production sites.
  • Standardize reports and plans nationwide for easier digestion by teams interacting with them.
  • Manage and Optimize the leaders to a flow of inputs and outputs for seamless planning process nationwide.
  • Lead the ERP Planning management.
  • Lead the expansion of current planning tools/offerings nationwide to better suit the needs of the company.
  • Call out and communicate shortages in capacity/expectations to plan.
  • Direct and Develop training, policies, and procedures for planning managers to ensure cohesion across markets.
  • Lead the definition of the capacity budget plan to match company’s targets.
  • Manage initiatives across the supply chain related to item specific changes including, but not limited to, new product introductions, component transitions and sourcing changes.
  • Problem solve the highest causes of increased cost of failures by researching, determining root cause and driving for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with the business and IT to recommend system solutions aligned with business goals and company objectives.

 

ADDITION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in business, data analytics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply, material, or demand planning.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of planning and production processes.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and material management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position will be responsible for supervision of a large team (20+) of planning managers and SKU portfolio managers/analysts.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
