Information Security Architect

Department: Information Security

Role Summary:

An Information Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, testing, and implementing security systems within the organization’s cloud or on-premises IT infrastructure.

An Information Security Architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and networks and stay up to date with the latest security best practices and standards, systems, authentication protocols, as well as security products.

This person will be accountable for securing company information and infrastructure by utilizing their experience to assess our systems, networks, and applications, as well as identify, develop, and implement additional security measures as our needs evolve.

The role of the Information Security Architect is to be the business customer facing and to play an active role in transforming Trulieve’s infrastructure security through designing and implementing security technologies across the Trulieve cloud and on-premises networks.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform risk assessments, threat modeling and security architecture reviews for complex online application and network environments.
  • Design and implement security architecture advisory practices for the execution of projects, programs, corporate and business initiatives.
  • Establish standard security principles based on strategy, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop detailed technical requirements that enterprise architects, infrastructure engineers, and application developers can follow to ensure that systems and applications are appropriately protected.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and subject matter expertise in security architecture to support our partners in technology and business.
  • Provide information security architecture leadership and consulting to business units for the development of solutions to manage information security risk.
  • Ensure that security capabilities are included in all aspects of our technology architecture.
  • Review new technologies and products for compliance implications.
  • Provide deep level of engineering support for security technologies, focusing on the design, 3rd party integration, internal landscape fitness evaluation, advanced troubleshooting, and best-practice security consultation.
  • Provide leadership of matrix teams in developing Security Reference Architecture.
  • Initiate and support the discussions with stakeholders from IT, Compliance, and other business units to identify and consolidate requirements.
  • Guide and review the development of operational processes and procedures and knowledge-based articles of security technologies.
  • Participate and assume leadership as appropriate in regular cadences with other infrastructure architects.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline, or the equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Security implementing security best practices, SOC, architecture, networking, and security management.
  • One Security certification is required (CISSP, CISM, GSEC, GISF, GPEN, GCIH, GCIA, or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability in a cloud environment.
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and other security principles.
  • Experience with and knowledge of software development (SDLC, DevOps), SAP architecture, and network security.
  • Management of the deployment, implementation, and configuration of security tools, including the role of project manager.
  • Self-motivated, driven and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.

 

Work Schedule:

  • 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs.
