Role Summary:
The Cultivation Safety Supervisor position is a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the safety culture of Trulieve. Cultivation Safety Supervisors are responsible for the direct supervision of Cultivation Safety Techs and monitoring the effectiveness of safety programs at multiple cultivation sites. They provide oversite and administration of HS&E policy, procedures, and training to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for their assigned cultivation sites. The Cultivation Safety Supervisor performs a variety of EH&S tasks including but not limited to:
- Leading OSHA and EPA Compliance activities at their assigned sites
- Monitoring the Work Comp paperwork process with site administration and assigned safety techs to ensure proper and timely completion of actions items as they pertain to duty status and reporting
- Initiating, driving, and managing key injury prevention activities, collaborating with others, engaging associates, and monitoring, and managing our leading and lagging indicators.
- The Cultivation Safety Supervisor reports directly to the Cultivation Safety Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be capable of driving change across the multiple locations
- Have a relentless pursuit for injury prevention, compliance, and risk reduction by championing an “All Accidents are Preventable” and goal “ZERO” approach to safety
- Be capable of aligning the local team and influencing others to achieve the desired HS&E performance objectives outlined by corporate initiatives and local/site initiatives
- Manage performance expectations for hourly safety techs at each assigned location
- Assist in developing, evaluates and maintains effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements, these activities include but are not limited to Emergency Action Plan, Hazard Communication, Safe Operating Procedures, Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Contractor Management, Bloodborne Pathogens, Respiratory Protection, Chemical Waste Management, Stormwater, SPCC, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Hearing Conservation, Fall Prevention/Protection, and Powered Industrial Trucks
- Maintains effective relationships with external parties such as: regulatory agencies/governmental agencies, vendors, suppliers, customers, and local occupational health clinics.
- Attend each site’s safety committee meetings
- Review and analyze data to determine the next opportunity to improve EH&S performance at assigned locations
- Conducts routine audits and inspections of our environmental procedures and controls. Recommends and facilitates corrective actions to maintain the effectiveness of the procedures and controls.
- Administers environmental compliance activities including but not limited to: tracking, reporting, scheduling, and sampling as necessary.
Skills And Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 and Worker Protection Standard certification
- CPR, AED, and First aid certifications.
- 3 years’ experience in production/manufacturing safety management
- Demonstrated computer literacy with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Have knowledge of EPA Air Permits, NPDES and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Programs, and Waste Management. Strong analytical and communication skills.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
