Job Summary

Supply Chain Supervisors maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and drive quality. Supply Chain Supervisors oversee employees to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of supplies, raw materials, and finished goods. Supply Chain Supervisors oversee vendor/supplier management, and inbound/outbound logistics. Supply Chain Supervisors are pivotal players in the logistics planning process. Candidates should be strong communicators who love to collaborate with others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, state regulations, or laws
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
  • Read and comprehend legal documents, such as contracts or import/export agreements.
  • Diagram/value stream map supply chain models to help facilitate discussions with customers dispensaries) and suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
  • Design or implement supply chains that support environmental policies.
  • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, takt times, position responsibilities, or system flows in coordination with the department manager.
  • Confer with supply chain planners to forecast demand or create supply plans that ensure availability of materials or products.
  • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
  • Conduct or oversee the conduct of life cycle analyses to determine the environmental impacts of products, processes, or systems.
  • Design, implement, or oversee product take back or reverse logistics programs to ensure products are recycled, reused, or responsibly disposed.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse or recycle materials to minimize consumption of new materials, minimize waste, or to convert wastes to by-products.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items.
  • Understanding of principals of accounting or finance.
  • Must be able to comprehend legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationships with people all over the world.
  • Exhibit an extreme ownership mentality over responsibilities and department.
  • 2+ years of experience with ERP (SAP is a must) skills
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is a must) and material management systems.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or a minimum of 18 years of age in CT, PA and WV).
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
  • Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
  • Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
  • Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as; reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
  • Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience.   A comprehensive benefits package including paid time off is offered with this position. This position will work an average of 40 hours per week and will be available “after hours” if an emergency situation should arise.
